Breve descrição: The consensus problem is a classic problem and a fundamental building block used to solve other problems in dependable (secure and reliable) distributed systems, namely to support security and intrusion tolerance services for wireless-ad hoc environments for IoT. In spite of the fact that consensus is being widely discussed in classical settings of distributed systems, few approaches have been conducted in order to solve it in scenarios of dynamic ad-hoc networks and wireless communication connectivity conditions. This dissertation will study connectivity criteria and communication semantics and requirements to solve the consensus problem in dynamic ad-hoc networks, with possible experimental scenarios involving ad-hoc networks and wireless sensor networks and devices for the Internet of Things, where certain nodes can behave maliciously, proposing and evaluating solutions based on formal properties and experimental assessment for different connectivity conditions.
