Whereas the operation of forgetting has been extensively studied in various languages for Knowledge Representation and Reasoning - such as Answer set programming (ASP) - less effort has been devoted to investigate it in the context of Relational Databases. This is a severe drawback that needs to be addressed to facilitate the implementation of the GDPR in practical systems. The goal of this project is to investigate the operation of forgetting and, ultimately, develop a tool to automate this procedure. Observações: A good student adopting this topic may be awarded a research grant.
