Publish/subscribe is a popular paradigm for message delivery in distributed systems, where published messages are routed to consumers according to their interests. The model allows for fully decoupled interactions among participants, where publishers do not need to know the subscribers or co-exist at the same time. Implementations range from fully centralized to fully decentralized. In the latter approaches, all parties (publishers and subscribers) cooperate to achieve message delivery.
The goal of this thesis is to research a decentralized Pub/Sub solution for edge systems, whose main goal is to provide efficient message delivery in a secretive manner that does not reveal subscribed topics, or message contents. |
