This is however generally unknown as the information about different collections and curator\\\'s efforts is unavailable. Making use of Semantic Web technology, such as Linked Open Data, the objective of this thesis is to create a comprehensive database, which is accessible by the public and the scientific community and facilitates the interchange of information with international collections. The purpose of the proposed database is to assemble information about the national collections of stained glass, including images, iconographic and technical information, as well as results of previous studies on their history, techniques of production, and conservation condition, starting with the collection of the Monastery of Santa Maria da Vitória (Batalha), dated to between the 15th and 19th centuries, where the the oldest examples of Portuguese stained glass exist. Observações: This project is planned in collaboration with the research unit VICARTE - Vidro e cerámica para as artes, FCT-NOVA and the Monastery of Santa Maria da Vitória (Batalha).
